6th of December is an exceptionally delightful day for Finland – homeland of sauna. Our beloved Finnish Maiden (or as Finns call it Suomineito) turns into a new century. Hundred years of independence has included several successful stories like Nokia and Angry Birds, just to mention a few. But of course, one century has not always been a bed of roses including i.e. wars and recession times.
Anyhow, most importantly is our Independence, which we can proudly celebrate on the 6th of December. Let’s heat up the celebration by raising our ladles and throwing a great amount of water to the heaters! Congratulations to 100-year-old Finland!
Like Sauli Niinistö, the President of the Republic of Finland has said: “This is tremendously good country (Finland) to live.”
